The Golden Tulip Hotel Park Consul is a modern hotel centrally located in the Tiergarten Mitte district of Berlin, three kilometres from the Kurfurstendamm shopping mile. The 49 guestrooms have a bright contemporary decor with light oak wood furniture and various colour themes. All include direct dial phones, cable television with pay movies, wireless and dial up Internet connections, safes, minibars, trouser presses, and bathrooms with complimentary toiletries, hair dryers and makeup mirrors.
A buffet breakfast is served each morning in the restaurant, with outdoor seating on the terrace when weather permits. Guests of the hotel can relax in the Club Lounge with its leather sofas plasma screen television or browse the complimentary newspapers. Business traveller can make use of conference rooms and computer rentals, and for those with laptops there is wireless Internet access throughout the building. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can advise on sightseeing opportunities and offer currency exchange and a safe deposit box for valuables. There is a parking garage on site (10 EUR surcharge per night). For sights around Berlin, the Tiergarten park is 1.5 kilometres from the hotel and the Natural History Museum is kilometres away. The Reichstag parliament building, Brandenburg Gate and Kurfurstendamm shopping mile are all no more than three stops on the underground system. Berlin Tegel Airport is five kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 15 minutes.

Driving Directions

Taxis are readily available outside the Arrival's terminal and cost approximately 15 EUR to get to the hotel. There is also an TXL airport shuttle service which takes guests to central Berlin and stops 20 metres from the hotel (alight at Turmstrasse) costing approximately 2 EUR for one way. Berlin's integrated public transport system (the BVG) is the best way to get about. One ticket allows travel on all trains, trams, buses and ferries. Turmstrasse U Bahn station (Line 9) is next to the hotel.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the first turning left into Saatwinkler Damm which turns into Beusselstrasse. Follow straight ahead until Turmstrasse junction, turn left into Turmstrasse and continue to Tusnelda Allee. There turn right into Tusnelda Allee and then left into Alt Moabit. Follow the road for approximately 200 metres and the hotel is on the right hand side.
