The Excelsior Palace Hotel is housed in a renovated 19th century palazzo with art nouveau influence. The lobby features a dark wood reception area with high arches, marble flooring, chandeliers and gilt mirrors. The hotel is located in the centre of Palermo within two kilometres of the Politeama and Massimo theatres. The 117 guestrooms feature traditional d�cor with rich fabrics and antique wood furnishings, and come equipped with air conditioning, balconies, dial up Internet connections, satellite television, minibars, hair dryers, telephones and complimentary safe deposit boxes.
At the Liberty Hall Restaurant, guests can enjoy a range of Mediterranean dishes including Sicilian specialities. The Palace also offers a dry cleaning service and a safe deposit box at the front desk and houses its own bar.

A shuttle bus runs from the airport to within 200 metres of the hotel and costs approximately 7 Euros. Alternatively taxis are available from outside the terminal and cost approximately 45 Euros.
Driving directions: From the airport, follow the signs for the A29 Palermo Centre. Follow the signs next to the Holiday Inn Hotel and turn to the left, then follow signs for Hotels. Take the Via Notarbartolo and turn right at the crossroads with Via Libert�. The hotel is 200 metres along on the right hand side.
